Returning to Tulsa, Twyleen Brings Her Hypnotizing, New Exhibit to Circle Cinema

Circle Cinema is Tulsa’s oldest-standing movie theatre that originally opened in 1928 and now operates as the only nonprofit cinema in the area. But, we are so much more than your local cinema. We are celebrators of creativity, the arts and filmmakers from around the corner and the world. Don’t hesitate to check out our latest exhibit, featuring the artist, Twyleen.

Merging textural fabrics and classical oil painting, Twyleen creates elegant portraits and enigmatic landscapes with nostalgic charm. Twyleen’s paintings feature realism, impressionism, impasto, brocade fabrics, upholstery, rhinestones, and found objects which when mixed together create an array of textures that keeps the viewer delighted as their eyes wander across the canvas.

Since her last show at Circle Cinema in January 2018, Twyleen has begun to incorporate fabric into her oil paintings. Merging brocade fabric with impasto brushstrokes, Twyleen makes collages of textural contrast. The result is elegant collages with a touch of whimsy. Her painting style features realism with hints of expressionism.

We encourage you to stop by and check out Twyleen’s amazing artwork!

At Brittany Square Apartments in Tulsa, Oklahoma, we believe it’s important to integrate yourself into the community, which is why we suggest attending this event. Meeting new people, having unfamiliar experiences, and joining neighborhood activities is the key to an exceptional lifestyle.
